On the 18 September, 2024 AAC Executive Director Will Abdo and Chairman and Honorary Consul for Morocco HE Roland Jabbour attended a special event with Rotary Melbourne to commemorate the United Nations International Day of Peace with special guest & keynote speaker Mr Damian Cardona – Director of the United Nations Information Centre (Canberra/Pacific). Mr Cardona presentation focused on “Cultivating a Culture of Peace” with reference to the UN Charter and sustainable development Goal #16 and #17.
During the event our Executive Director Will Abdo was inducted as a member of the Rotary Club of Melbourne where he took the opportunity to thank the club for their professionalism and support as well as briefly talk about the need for humanity to collectively work in harmony for a more peaceful and happier planet.
The event which was held at No35 Restaurant, Sofitel Melbourne on Collins, was a great opportunity for Roland and Will to meet with Mr Cardona as well as network with members of Rotary Melbourne and distinguished guests.
