AACCI Chairman His excellency Mr Roland Jabbour OAM was today honoured with the prestigious award of “Ambassador For Peace” in recognition for his distinguished leadership and longstanding service in peacebuilding, public service and international trade relations.
The award was presented by the Secretary-General of Universal Peace Federation Oceania Mr Greg Stone, during its Peace Talks webinar on the theme of “US-China Relations – Implications for Oceania Interdependence, Mutual Prosperity and Universally Shared Values”.
The event hosted a panel of highly distinguished international speakers spanning four continents, which included key speaker Ambassador Christopher Hill, a former career diplomat and US Ambassador to Iraq, South Korea, Macedonia and Poland.
Mr Jabbour thanked UPF Oceania for the award and congratulated them on a timely webinar theme and an excellent programme which addressed and contextualised the various relevant developments and concerns on the theme in question.
The Universal Peace Federation is an NGO dedicated to achieving world peace in general consultative status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations and supports the work of United Nations, particularly in the areas of interfaith peace building, peace education, and the strengthening of human values and family.
