AAC Executive Director Will Abdo attended the Premier’s Iftar Dinner 2022, held on the 7 April in the Members Dining Room at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. The event was attended by leaders of the Victorian Islamic community, government representatives and representatives of various ethnic organisations and the broader community.
Premier Daniel Andrews thanked the Muslim leaders for their engagement and co-operation in stepping up their efforts to keep their communities safe during the pandemic over the last two years.
Will networked with the attendants and shared experiences on how the AAC
engaged with its audience to stay connected and informed in navigating the C-19 restrictions and keeping it well and safe.
He also had the opportunity to meet with the Chairperson of the Victorian Multicultural Commission Ms Viv Nguyen and thanked her for her tireless efforts in keeping the community leaders informed on the latest updates on tackling the Covid-19 pandemic and keeping their people safe.
Overall it was a great evening of networking and catching up face to face after a hard two years.
